The primary goal of Tallinn University of Technology Library (founded in 1919) is to support studies, research and scientific development at Tallinn University of Technology (TUT) and to provide Estonian business and industry with necessary and updated knowledge and information.The Library serves as:
- the university centre of library services and electronic information
- the central technical library of Estonia that is open for public use
- the national resource library for technology
The Library collects materials mostly in the following specialities:natural and exact sciences, mechanical engineering, machinery and instrument engineering, materials science, transport engineering, logistics, geotechnology, mining engineering, power engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, biotechnology and biomedicine, food processing, environmental engineering, civil engineering, systems engineering and information technology, different branches of industry (wood, textiles etc), public administration, economics and business administration. |
